Qteq Pty Ltd continues to broaden its solutions for Coal Seam Gas operators in #Queensland.
Together with our partner, Archer - the well company from Norway, we recently ran a number of #wireline logs that enabled State Gas to prove conclusively that gas flows were occurring at multiple levels across a wide interval in a CSG well.
James Crowley, Executive GM – Exploration & Development at State Gas Limited, commented:
"State Gas is very happy with the VIVID log which was run on their Nyanda-4 pilot coal-seam gas production well in 2021. The well has over 40 gas saturated coal seams between 400 and 1200m and the VIVID log was run to determine which seams were contributing to production. The well was completed with slotted liner and a PCP on production tubing. Two temperature and noise runs were required, one with the well flowing after the rotor and rods had been removed, and one run after the well had been shut in. The results conclusively demonstrated that gas flow was occurring at multiple levels down to the bottom of the well, thus increasing the potential size of the resource."
