Deployment of Unique Flood Early Warnings System for RAPAD Group members

The latest addition to the Qteq Group of companies, Prospect Environmental, has successfully completed deployment of unique Flood Early Warning System for 6 local QLD Councils as part of the RAPAD Group.

30 Water level and rainfall monitoring stations, distributed across Central QLD, were installed as part of the project.

Real-time data captured by these stations is transferred using existing cellular or satellite networks and available via Prospect’s #dataOnline cloud-based SCADA or BoM website.

As is often the case in QLD in early spring/summer, adverse weather conditions (severe thunderstorms with high winds, hail and rain) were encountered during installation.

Despite these challenges our teams in the field and back at base did an excellent job in ensuring the entire project was completed in full, and on time. Huge congratulations and thanks to all involved!

We would also like to thank RAPAD and the local QLD Councils of Blackall-Tambo, Barcaldine, Barcoo, Winton, Flinders and Longreach for trusting Prospect to deliver this critical #infrastructure project for Western QLD.
