In the 1980’s Brian joined the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra with a Masters degree in Sport Psychology.
Even today, Brian maintains close connections to the world of sports. This includes working with and learning from more than 120 Olympic medalists and various other great sports teams and individuals.
After 4 years with AIS, Brian returned to the UK to pursue a career in the IT industry, including a lengthy career with AMT-Sybex. Brian helped grow the company from 4 to 350 staff, when in 2014 it was then acquired by a Times Top 100 company.
Following the AMT-Sybex takeover, Brian wore golden handcuffs for 2 years, but was certainly not sitting on his hands. Thereafter, in early 2016, Brian took up the role of CEO at K2fly (an Australian ESG software firm).
Using his vast experience gained during his meteoric career at AMT-Sybex, and from Board positions held with various other companies, Brian was able to provide significant business and financial insights to K2fly, helping steer the company to a successful IPO later the same year.
Joining the Qteq Board in 2021, Brian is set to enhance the company’s ESG vision and mission, and help grow Qteq’s ESG services, through his deep knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) and Data as a Service (DaaS) platforms.
